NDFB-P threatens to pull out of peace process

KOKRAJHAR: NDFB(P) has threatened to pull out of the peace process with the Centre if the security forces keep arresting their rebels under ceasefire.

The Bodo rebel outfit who struck peace deal with the government a couple of years back warned it hours after CRPF jawans based in Mazbat arrested one of their fellow rebels B Khobam from his rented house at Bapuji Nagar in Udalguri on Friday.

Publicity secretary SSangjarang in a statement called the arrest a violation of the ceasefire pact with the Centre since the security forces did not take necessary permission from the authority.
