NEW DELHI: The Supreme court has reserved its judgment on the validity or acceptability of panchayat documents in the NRC works after it heard both sides on Wednesday.
A division bench of the country's apex court comprising Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice RF Nariman completed hearing of the case and reserved the ruling.
The bench is hearing the petition on the time for publication of the much-awaited NRC draft along with border fencing issue on November 29 and 30.
The home ministry moved a petition before the top court recently seeking permission to extend the date for publication of NRC draft till July 31, 2018 instead of December 31, 2018 triggering huge protest in the state.
