One person sustained bullet injury as he escaped the bid on life in Kokrajhar on Thursday. The incident took place at Dhumbazar early in the morning.
At-least three armed assailants fired from closed range at Dhmbazar by 5 in the morning, which led the person to be hospitalized for receiving serious bullet injuries on his chest and body.
The injury civilian was identified as Rashna Basumatary (33) of Dhumbazar.
Immediately after incident, Rashna was first admitted at MRM hospital and later referred to Bongaigaon Lower Assam hospital due to critical condition.
Rashna was on way to the Dalgaon area from Dhumbazar while armed assailants attacked him with bullets.
The assailants were on bored of black clothes covered up on their mouth and face while they fired him. The person received two bullet shot’s injuries on his body and chest side in the attacked, said a medical staff in Kokrajhar.
