Assam Cong takes on Modi on DeMo anniv

Along with other parts of the country, the Assam Congress in rank and file have gone all out against the NDA government at the Centre on one year of demonetization.

Congress leaders and activists took out a huge protest in the capital city of Guwahati slamming prime minister Narendra Modi and his government for allowing the common people to suffer because of demonetization.

The party speakers said with demonetization, Modi has safeguarded the interest of his own people and failed to crack the whip on the money makers.

“If really it targetted the black money then these notes have gone. RBI had made it clear that 90% old notes have come back. Is it the way Modi is trying to deal with the black money. Ludicrous indeed,”said Assam Congress president Ripun Bora.
