Chhath Puja celebration concludes in Kokrajhar

Women devotees and followers of Chhat Puja expressed their happiness on the Chhat puja celebration and presented Sindhur play on the occasion which created religious integration at the celebration venue. The Chhath Puja celebration was concluded with festive fervor today morning in Kokrajhar, heart of BTAD administration along with rest of the state evening that worship and prayer to the Sun Devota (Sun God) at Patharghat along Gaurang River bank.
 Thousands of devotees and followers thronged the River bank to offer their worship and prayer to the almighty Sun Devota on the occasion by the morning. The Patharghat along the Gaurang River saw colorful and beautiful with lighting creating festive situation during the celebration. The puja was being organized by Surya Shasti Puja Sah Samaj Kalyan Committee, Kokrajhar.
 Prem Chandra Jha, organiser of the celebration said that it is a puja to offer worship and prayer Sun Devota, which has been celebrating since Maha Bharat era in the country. Devotees told that the puja has a very significance of praying welfare for life and peace and integration among society. It is a prayer to the almighty Sun Devota, devotees said. Well wishers from different communities thronged the puja venue to witness the celebration.The puja was started on Thursday evening and concluded today morning through prayer and worship to Sun God.Women devotees and followers said that they are happy with celebration by playing Sindhur on the occasion. ‘We offered our prayer and worship to almighty Sun Devota today to get blessings from Sun Devota to get healthy life and integration’, women followers said.
