Assam State Electricity Board(ASEB),Guwahati defeated Salbagan Football Club (FC), Gossaigaon 5-0 goals to lift the 20th Daoharu Mungkhlong Football Trophy -2017 in the final match being played at Dotma HS School in Kokrajhar district on Sunday.
For ASEB, Hiteswar Narzary netted first goal in 18th minutes against Salbagan and led the match 1-0 in the first half. Akhrang Narzary of ASEB scored three goals in 55th,66th and 70th minutes.Vishal Sooner netted one goal in 60th minutes against Salbagan in the second half of the match which led the to win the trophy 5-0 goals.Akhrang Narzary was awarded best player in the match and given away a trophy and cash 5,000.
BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary handed oper the championship trophy and cash reward 50,000 while Mrithunjay Narzary, BTC executive member gave away runners trophy and cash 25,000.
Thousands of spectators from different atas of Kokrajhar district and its adjoining region witnessed the final match.
Mohilary lauded the footballtrophy organisers for organising football trophies in the name of Bodoland martyrs. 'We must recalled contributions of martyrs, who were dedicated their valueble lives for the cause of Bodoland homeland ',Mohilary said.
