From Chennai with help

Though miles away from their homeland, Assamese people residing in Chennai along with Association Chennai donated ₹ 1 lakh towards the Chief Minister Flood relief Fund. 32 assamese people staying in chennai donated towards this relief fund. It is also to be mentioned that many tamil employees of a company named Vardhaman from Erode district of Tamilnadu also donated towards this fund collected in Chennai.

On behalf of Assam Association Chennai, Ex-president of Assam Association, Chennai Sulakshan Saikia & Shri Samir Barua handed over the chq of INR 1 lakh to honorable chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal on August 29, 2017.
