Venture teachers staged dharna in Kokrajhar

Hundreds of venture school teachers from BTAD areas staged a five-hour dharna in front of DC office in Kokrajhar on Tuesday demanding steps to provincialize their schools and to, amend the DISE code as soon as possible.

Organized by All BTC Venture Primary Teachers Association, the sit in was participated by the teachers of 2065 venture schools (Lower Primary and Upper Primary) in four districts of BTAD. In Kokrajhar district alone, there are 813 venture schools.

 A memorandum was submitted to Kampa Borgoyary,Deputy Chief of BTC through Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar seeking early provincialisation of venture schools.
