Flood woes in Patgaon

Yet another flood wave starts wreaking no less havoc in  Patgaon bazaar and it's adjoining areas rendering over 100 families over a night in Kokrajhar district on Thursday..

The river Kalashi is overflowing after the incessant rains that lashed the district during the last 24 hours and amany areas have come under the surging waters.

Local residents here blamed lack of proper cannel or drainage system to pass the surfing river waters which takes place at regular intervals.

The circle officer from Kokrajhar visited the marooned people and assessed the situation  on Wednesday afternoon.
