SGBG condoles on former MP’s death

The city based voluntary organization Save Guwahati Bulid Guwahati (SGBG) condoled on the death of former congress MP Santosh Mohan Deb. In a press release the SGBG said that the demise of the veteran politician is an irreparable lost to the organization. “ He (Deb) helped us a great extent when we went to Delhi to meet then Prime Minster Dr. Manmohan Singh to submit a memorandum urging problem of indigenous people’s land problem”, said Dhiren Baruah, former president of the organization. Baruah added that the ex-MP’s death bereaved all the members of the SGBG. Deb, an influential politician of the Barak valley, breathed his last in a hospital at Shilsor, where he was under- going treatment for a couple of days. He was 82. He represented Assam and Tripura in Lok Sabha for seven times. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condoled on his death.
