ACS officer fired from Dispur office

The Assam government has fired a newly appointed lady ACS officer alleging her involvement in the APSC scam suggesting similar action against many others who managed to be selected in the combined competitive examination.

M Kalita, the assistant commissioner attached to the chief minister's secreteriat has been fired on Monday in view of her alleged involvement in the scam.

According to sources, even after glaring evidence of her involvement she was not questioned by the investigators along with 25 others at Kahilipara last week.

Same fate awaits many other officers who allegedly ensured selection by bribing chairman Rakesh Paul who along with eleven others have been jailed.
