Apang bats for political formula
Gegong Apang, former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, in his speech on Monday, said that the Bodoland issue is a political issue, so both state and Centre should come forward to solve the Bodoland issue through political dialogue. He urged the Bodo organizations to be peaceful and democratic while seeking Bodoland state within Indian constitution. He has expressed his hopeful that once a day the Bodoland state would be created through political peaceful dialogue.
‘No body could deny the demand of Bodoland state by ABSU and its allied organizations that are demanding separate homeland. But, the movement groups should make convince the state and centre over the issues in political arena to pave way healthy solution way so that the demand and issues could be reached in final shape’, Apang said.
He also extended best wishes to all movement group leaders on their three-decade long leading movement spirits for seeking separate Bodoland homeland through democratic process. He also said that Bodos and Arunachalis are coming same clan of Mongloid, so their genetics are seeing same physical structures. Promod Boro, president of the ABSU told that the Bodoland movement would be continued till achieved of Bodoland. He said that creation of Bodoland state was the ultimate goal of the Bodos. He announced that both peace talk and movement would be carried out in parallel to meet healthy solution of the long standing demand of Bodoland state. He has demanded clear cut and pragmatic policy decision from the government while holding tripartite peace talks to create smaller states across the country. He has urged government to solve the Bodoland issue through political dialogue without any delay.
‘Solve the Bodoland issue through political dialogue in earliest manner to pave way good governance, healthy development in the region carving existing Assam state’,Boro said. He also announced more agitation programmes, which included a national seminar over the creation of smaller states in India at Constitution Club in New Delhi in July,economic-blockade in September next to put pressure government for Bodoland state.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL president Urkhao Gwra Brahma, ex Lok Sabha MP SK Bwiswmuthiary, Dhiren Boro, president of the NDFB(P) were also addressed the mass rally, urged the government to take bold step to solve the demand of the Bodoland state through political dialogue.

Kokrajhar, May 2: A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district.
The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening. Local sources informed that authorities, including the police, SDRF, and local residents, launched a search operation late Wednesday night.
"The bodies were fished out of the river this afternoon after a thorough search," a local source said.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
