The Dhemaji police have chargesheeted nearly five dozen people of an organization fighting for thr settlement if the Hindu illegal settlers, in connection with the Silapothar clash where a group of violent protesters attacked some local student activists and damaged their organization.
The police team probing the March 5 incident in Silapothar filed the charge sheet at a local lower court in Dhemaji on Saturday imposing a number of tight sections against the NIBBUSS leaders who allegedly attacked the local AASU leaders and demolished their office marking an end of the rally demanding settlement of the Hindu Bangladeshi immigrants.
Sources told Assam Times that the authorities have imposed a number of tight sections of the laws to ensure that they won't be able to get bail early.
AASU leaders are nit available for reaction who lodged a complaint before the Silapothar police after the clash which triggered statewide protest demanding stern action against NIBUSS leaders whom police arrested later.
