Why peace interlocutor is needed?
The National Democratic Front of Boroland-Progressive (NDFB-P) is quite unhappy with the change of peace interlocutor when the peace process is in progress.
The outfit’s general secretary Govinda Basumatary said in Kokrajhar that the appointment of Dineswar Sarma in the place of PC Haldar was not required at this crucial juncture.
According to him, the peace interlocutor has not been playing any pivotal role in the ongoing peace process with Delhi and Dispur. He said PC Holder virtually had no role to play in the entire peace process.
“Deployment or redeployment of peace interlocutor was only a government phenomenon for the issue”, said Basumatary adding that the peace process must be expedited in the political level to create separate Bodoland without any delay.
'Bodoland is the ultimate goal of Bodo and town trodden communities those are living in Bodoland region', Gavinda said.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district.
