ULFA(I) threatens more strike

The United Liberation Front of Asom(I) has owned up the responsibility of the explosion at an ONGC pipeline in Sonari on Saturday.

In a statement issued to media on Sunday, the rebel outfit said that they will continue these until and unless sovereignty is restored on the indigenous people.

An ONGC pipeline was partially damaged when the  explosion took place at Teok Ghat with a huge sound in Sonari district in the evening.

Security forces and senior ONGC officials initially could not ascertain  ULFA’s role in the incident which took place two days after an Ulfa rebel died in Dikom as he was believed to have been planting a bomb at an OIL pipeline which exploded immediately.
