A two-day flood mock drill has began from Thursday at Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar which has been aiming to bring awareness about pre-flood situation among official and common masses in the district.
The drill was organised by Kokrajhar Revenue Circle in collaboration with Kokrajhar district disaster management authority where all line department official, employees of the government and NGO activist as well as citizens participated the drill.
Bibekananda Choudhury, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner lighted the lamp to inaugurate the drill.The drill has been aimed to create awareness and preparedness on pre-flood situation in the area’Choudhury said.
