Caught in a barrage of criticism, Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora has ordered an inquiry into the alleged activities resulting in the useless crops production in Kokrajhar when he was on a visit to the BTAD district on Tuesday..
Bora said that the farmers are facing hardships in the cropping due to Pothan as this year seeing rain and storms hit the paddy crops. He has expresses concern over it which was resented among cultivators in the state.
Bora also met BTC executive member Ansumwi Khunggur Boro and agriculture department officials at Circuit House in Kokrajhar.
‘Government is taking stern measures to check rice seed anomalies that bringing paddy pothans’, Bora adding said that those crops are seen Pothan, these are not certified seeds from government shops.
On the NRC update, Bora said. “we want early implementation of NRC to identify illegal immigrants in the state.” He said government is working all round development of the state.
