5 poachers held

Security forces apprehended five poachers from Bongaon area under Bhuyanpara forest range in Manas National Park of Baksa district on Monday. The poachers were apprehended along with three country made guns during search operation carried out by army and police in the area. 


They were identified as Kamaleswar Basumatary, Peter Islary, Nileswar Islary, Goliath Basumatary and Jeorge Hazoary. 


The poachers were involved various anti social activities in the national park, said a senior forest official.
