May-Day observed in Kokrajhar

The International Worker’s Day(May-Day) was observed on Monday at Rashmela ground in Kokrajhar district along with rests of the world. The day seek proper implementation of labours act while facilitating welfare of the workers grievances across the world.

The day was organised by Centre for Indian Trade Unions(CITU) and participated from different corners of the district that saw huge attractions.Ramesh Toppo,senior worker of CITU hoisted organisational flag and followed floral tribute to martyrs on the occasion.

The CITU demanded equal status among workers in the country and urged government come forward to solve issues and grievances of the labours.

Ashit Dutta,CITU leader said that the workers are deprived from genuine wages in their life due to insincerity from governments.
