The move for cabinet expansion in Assam hits a major hurdle when BJP president Amit Shah met AGP and BPF leadership in New Delhi on Monday.
The two coalition partners have demanded more berths and refused to give in. The party president is further believed to have been dead opposed to the induction of a legislator in the expanded cabinet.
All these issues figured in the close door meeting of Amit Shah with AGP president Atul Bora, his BPF counterpart Hagrama Mohilary and senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Caught in a dire confusion and controversy, party president Amit Shah invited chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal to attend another round of meeting on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
