This sounds great. Anyways, its time Assam Times gather better staff members and writers for itself. We miss articles by the likes of Dr. Hiren Gohain, Pallavi Barua, DN Bezbaruah, Anjali Doimari, Megan Kachari and Rongbong Terong.

I have seen many networks or forum of this kind. Will it sustain?

This website does lack articles by the people mentioned by one reader Satyen. Indeed persons like Hiren Gohain, Sanjoy Hazarika, Pallavi Barua,Anjali Doimari are few bold writers of the region. They are some of the most Objective columnists whose writings voice the ground reality and not political gains by resorting to subjectivity. Needless to say, opportunists are offended by their observations and come up with ridiculous, absurd allegations which again these persons of steel take in their stride gracefully.

There is no shadow of doubt that a vibrant democracy is always based on the people’s participation in true sense. Rampant corruption in recent times in national level or in Assam has bought bitter feelings amongst the people towards democracy. Some people would stay away by saying that politics is not good or there is no hope from our politicians who are more interested in their self interest instead of the interest of the masses. We have seen that politician or political parties’ promises a lot before election and most of the issues are not addressed properly by the political parties .
