Purohit visits Kokrajhar

Assam Governor Barwarilal Purohit, who is on a two- day visit to Kokrajhar,heart of BTAD administration from today was accorded warm welcome by the BTC Principal Secretary Biren Chandra Phukan, Deputy Commissioner Bibekananda Choudhury, Additional DGP(BTAD) Dr LR Bishnoi and SP Rajen Singh along with heads of the departments.

On the first day of his visit, he held meeting with the district administration including police and other heads of the departments at Korajhar Circuit House. He asked the officials to be transferent and punctual in the their offices. He further asked them to solve the problems of the pubic expeditiously.

Then the Governor met the delegations of BPF led by BTC Deputy Chief Kampa Borgayary, ABSU, ABYSF, BTCHYP, BJSM and BJP Kokrajhar district committee and Assam Sahitya Sabha to acquant with the grievances and problems of the people.

After hearing the problems and grievances of all, the Governor said that he would take up the problems with the state and central governments.

Purohit said that he has visited Kokrajhar as per his district visiting scheduled.He has eyed to the building peace and integrity among all sections of society in the region as well state.He said BTC and Assam state has potentiality of tourism for which why state have to develop tourism to attract tourists in the state.

‘I am visiting Kokrajhar to review government departmental punctual with government officials and police administrtaion’,Purohit said.

He also said that BTCadministration has been working for all round development in the region.

Tomorrow, he will also attend a swacch Bharat Abhijan programme to be organised by the Kokrajhar district administration at Kokrajhar town near circuit house area at 10AM,besides attending at Akhil Bharatiya Seema Chintan Baithak to be held at Science College at 11 am in Kokrajhar.
