Huge railway flyover over the Brahmaputra

Railway network in Assam is set to get a major boost. A huge flyover connecting Kamakhya to New Guwahati on the river Brahmaputra river is coming up.


Disclosing this minister of state for railway, Rajen Gohain to reporters in Guwahati on Saturday that the two lane flyover worth Rs 888 crore bridge would be a huge boost for surface communication.

According to Gohain, the Centre is waiting for the detailed project report and the work is expected to start by next year. He said the project is one of the major budget proposals.
