Violence continues to erupt in Kohima forcing the government to deploy army and para military forces to contain the situation in the Nagaland capital city on Friday.
Hundreds of protestors keep moving in the city damaging government property demanding Chief minister TR Zeliang’s immediate resignation. A section of the protestors pelted stones at the government buildings to make the situation further worse.
The protestors have threatened to bury the lifeless protestors in front of the chief minister's residence in Kohima if the demands are not entertained.
The situation went out of control when the government held the municipal polls with 33 per cent reservation for women triggering widespread anger among the protestors who hit the streets in Kohima and Dimapur where two protestors were killed in police firing.
An irrate mob on Thursday damaged the municipality office along with s few other buildings in protest against the polls and reservation decision.
