Liquor smuggler arrested

A Bhutanese liquor smuggler was apprehended during the search operation at Aiepolly near Dadgiri along Indo-Bhutan border by Sasastra Seema Bal (SSB) under Runikhata PS in Chirang district.

According to 16th battalion of SSB Ranighuli,Kokrajhar, a Bhutanese liquor smuggler of Aiepolly village which is approx 50 metres south of border post(BP) no. 169/6, under Dadgiri police outpost in Chirang district was apprehended along with liquors during the search operation carried out by SSB jawans early this morning.The person was detained while he was trying to enter India from Bhutan by using unauthorized track near BP No 169/6 and was trying to flee away from the sight of operation party. He was identified as Luku Brahma. During interrogation the apprehended person failed to produce any legal documents of the liquor.

Bhutanese liquors amounting of around 7,000 were seized from him.
