Body of missing youth recovered

Sensation prevails following the recovery of the body of youth who was missing since January 8 after going to a picnic at Bogamati of Baksa district bordering Indo-Bhutan terrain has been recovered by security forces on Thursday.

The three days of joint search operation by 37th bn SSB troops ,SDRF Mangaldai troops,Pranjal Borah SDPO Bhergaon ,Bhutan police,Nagrijuli IC found the dead body of Niranjan Rajbongshi (20) a TDC 1st semester student of Tangla College from inaccessible dense terrains 4kms deep inside Bhutan territory. The teams carried sniffer dogs of 37bn SSB to trace the body of the missing youth. The deceased hails from Uttar Naobandha under Dimakuchi PS of Udalguri district.

Though family members has alleged cold blooded murder of their kin, police sources have not divulged any information.

Based on the F.I.R of the family members of deceased the seven friends who accompanied their kin to the picnic spot have been booked under 302/34 of IPC namely Basistha Deka (18),Gobinda Boro (19),Pankaj Baishya (22),Manoj Nath (20),Lobo Das (18),Jitu Das (19),Nripen Baishya (22) . They have been forwarded to judicial custody. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem.
