ADGP Bishnoi asks NDFB-S cadres to surrender

Additional Director General of Police for BTAD Dr LR Bishnoi has offered surrender opportunity to the NDFB-S leaders, including G Bidai saying that they would be treated as well being as per constitution if they come to the main stream.

Kokrajhar district police administration ceremonially distributed DGP commendation certificates among well achieved police officer and jawans at a function held at SP office in Kokrajhar today.

Dr Bishnoi told that NDFB-S militant outfit has three camps in Myanmar where they are taking shelter and working for the outfit organization. He said that G Bidai, senior leader of the militant outfit has been taking shelter inside Bhutan territory along with few cadres in deep jungles. He said that police administration has been taking strong operations against militant outfits. There are 23 council members of the NDFB-S in its organization and four of them were arrested by police and remaining leaders are taking shelter in Myanmar soil, Bishnoi said.

He has offered surrender opportunity to NDFB-S leaders said that government and police will receive them with dignity without any hesitation as per constitution of India if they come to the main stream. He has urged militant outfit organization leader and cadres to come forward to the main stream to bring peace and integration in the region. He said that NDFB-S organization has been suffered with financial as well foods due to the intensified operation carried out by security forces since few months in the region.

‘G Bidai and his colleague leaders should come forward to the main stream because there is no sustaining feasibility in the jungles due rapid search operations are intensified’, Dr Bishnoi said.

Dr Bishnoi ceremonially distributed 39 DGP commendation certificates among police officer and jawans of Kokrajhar district,who were awarded from DGP for working hard while discharging their duty and responsibilities in their respective ground. He has extended congratulations to the achievers and hope healthy performance in days to coming.

A total of 300 police officer and jawans received DGP commendation certificates in four BTAD districts in last two years, besides received 50 lakhs of cash from DGP office along with the certificates,Dr Bishnoi said.

Sreejith T,additional SP,Bhanwar Lal Meena,SDPO,Parbatjhora,Munidra Nath Deuri,SDPO,Gossaigaon,Prakash medhi,deputy SP Kokrajhar,Rabin Choudhury,Inspector,OC,Kokrajhar were prominent recipients of DGP commendation certificates in the district.

Rajen Singh, SP Kokrajhar,AKC Singh,CO of 16th Battalion SSB,Jaiveer Singh,CO of Army Rajput,CO from CRPF were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the NDFB(S) said had confirmed the encounter which took place on December 9 at around 7.30 pm which had claimed two-cadre, said I Sulung publicity secretary of NDFB in a press release.

According to ADGP of Assam Police LR Bishnoi, two NDFB cadres were died during the long heavy exchange of fire. But according to the local people and Boroland Intelligent Research Wing investigated report 5 SSB personals also died on the spot and four others received injuries, which the ADGP didn’t disclose in front of the media.

‘NDFB is still continuing to work for the greater interest of Boro people and WESEA region and will protect the land of our forefathers’,said Sulung.

The martyr comrades are Ranjit Goyary alias Rongjasula and Bikash Narzay of Kokrajhar district.
