The All Assam Minority Students Union (AAMSU) protested the eviction drive along Kaziranga Bandordubi and burnt effigies of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Keshab Mahanta at Fakiragram in Kokrajhar district today.
Hundreds of AAMSU activists and citizens took part with placards and shouted slogans against BJP led alliance government at Dispur in the protest step with burning of effigies of CM and ministers.
Students union strongly slammed the eviction drive along Kaziranga, who are living since long years and demanded eviction should be stopped.
Anowar Hussain,AAMSU leader condemned eviction drive which has created resented among residents. He has demanded early stop and provide compensation to the affected families besides ex-gratia to the kin who were killed in the bullet firing during eviction drive today.
“Stop eviction along the Kaziranga. It was unfortunate incident for the common residents in the region that residents have been facing severe hardships due to eviction.Provide compensation to the affected families and ex-gratia to the victims’ those who were killed in the firing incident”,Hussain added.
