Water supply schemes inaugurated

BTC EM Lmwshrao Daimari recently inaugurated two water supply schemes at Darogakhat and 1 No. Bainara near Khoirabari in Udalguri district.

In the course of his inauguration speech,Lmshrao Daimari gave the assurance that the areas which are facing problems of potable drinking water and sanitation issues would be covered within short period by BTC authorities.

It is pertinent to mention that through NRDWPP(QA) programme of state government the Darogakhat Water Supply Scheme received sanction amount of Rs 65 lakh for the year 2011-12 A total of 975 villagers of Darogakhat,Kalbari,Sonakhat,Ghogapara,Uttar Chuba will be benefitted by the scheme.

Meanwhile the 1 No. Bainara Water Supply Scheme received sanction amount of Rs 45.46 lakh through non-plan programme for the year 2015-16. A total of 748 villagers of Bainara Chuba,Ghogapara,Niz Kuhiarkuchi,Baripara will be benefitted by the scheme.

A 15 member management committee for each of the water supply schemes is also formed for proper maintainence of the project.

The projects were inagurated in the august presence of Lmshrao Daimari EM BTC,Maheswar Boro Kalaigaon MLA,Nagendra Bharati Senior grade jr. engineer cum nodal officer,PHE BTC Director Bibhuti Ranjan Sarma,PHE Executive Engineer Manabendra Bikash Dhar,Dimbeswar Sarma Jr. Engineer and other officials of Public Health Engineering, Tangla Division. -

Udalguri:  A court in Udalguri has sentenced five people to life imprisonment for the 2017 murder of Sahid Jamal in Kalaigaon. District and Sessions Judge N.
