At least six pieces of Sal logs were seized by forest official and nature lovers at Gongia River near Balanga bazaar late last night in Kokrajhar district. According to sources, logs were brought through river by smugglers late last night, but later seized by forest department and nature lover citizens.
The 12th edition of the Baokhungri Festival began on Saturday with vibrant celebrations at Baokhungri Hill in Kokrajhar district, drawing a large gathering of visitors and devotees. The three-day event is being organized by the Tourism Department of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).
