Ministers, MLAs face ire

An irate mob in Itanagar vandalized dozens of vehicles belonging to police, ministers and MLAs hours after Kalikho Pul was found dead inside his official residence on Tuesday.

Pul’s supporters in large number came out to the city streets in the morning and started targeting police men along with ministers and MLAs.

An angry mob marched towards Deputy Chief Minister Chow Mein’s residence and ransacked a portion of it alleging his role in the bizarre incident.

Some other agitated people tried to go to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s residence. But they were prevented by the heavy presence of security forces.

Another angry mob targeted the security forces, MLAs and minister by pelting stones while the agitated people burnt down the wooden coffin brought to put the lifeless Pul.
