The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) has rolled out a slew of measures to help the flood-hit people by distributing some relief materials among them.
In a press statement issued in Guwahati on Sunday, AJYCP president Biraj Kumar Talukdar said that AJYCP activists across the state have been distributing relief materials among the flood-hit people in many places.
Talukdar said,” The government has been trying to manage the situation merely by providing some relief materials which is quite insufficient.”
He urged the people of all sections to reach out to these marooned people with more relief materials. “You can also extend your helping hands with relief materials or in cash. For relief materials you may move your nearest AJYCP unit. Your help in cash is also highly solicited in our Bank Account No. 1809200947 of Central Bank, Silpukhuri branch, Guwahati (IFSC code: 0283201).
Talukdar said that the flood assistance in the form of cash and materials along the details of the donors would be published in the website www.ajycp.org .
