Union home minister Rajnath Singh will be on a day long visit to Assam to take stock of the situation where 27 people lost their lives till Friday. The Union minister is expected to arrive in Guwahati at 10 in the morning and would make an aerial survey in some flood–hit districts. Before leaving back to New Delhi, Singh will talks with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to assess the situation. The Brahmaputra and its tributaries have been flowing dangerously where more and more areas have come under the surging waters in 22 districts affecting 20 lakh people so far.
