The brief respite from the rain water woes in Guwahati ended when rains resumed in the city on Friday.
Many areas in Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar, Lachit Nagar, Zoo Road have again come under the rainwaters in the afternoon against disrupting the normal life in the premier north eastern city.
The fresh rains that lashed the city on Friday afternoon resulted in a heavy traffic snarls on the GS Road and RG Baruah Road much to the major inconvenience for the commuters who heaved a sigh of relief in the morning.
Many low laying parts of are in Nabin Nagar, Anil Nagar, Lachit Nagar, Zoo Road are still under the rains waters. “The fresh rains on Friday have compounded the woes. The river Bharalu is no longer capable to carry the surging waters when the mighty Brahmaputra is over flowing in Guwahati.
