Major relief for NE people in Delhi, NCR

Around 20 top hospitals in New Delhi are planning subsidized treatment for the north eastern people living in Delhi and NCR.

Highly placed sources told Assam Times that these super speciality hospitals including Apollo, Fortis, Medanta, Max will soon formally come with the announcement bringing smiles to lakhs of the people hailing from this region.

Those who have been working in private sector, doing business apart from the students and researchers would get direct benefit from the ambitious scheme.
The beneficiaries having an identity card or certificate would have to be referred by the competent authority.

“Let us wait for the formal announcement. We are happy with the decision. This was what we have been demanding for the last couple of years,” said a JNU student who hails from Guwahati.
