Flood woes in Goalpara

Flash flood have started wreaking havoc in Goalpara district displacing thousands of people during the last couple of days.

The major rivers in the district have been overflowing following the heavy downpour in Meghalaya and the surging waters have inundated a huge area in the lower Assam district where thousands of people in several villages have been affected. The situation is expected to take a grim turn if the rains refuse to halt.
