NDFB-S cadre held

Security forces apprehended a cadre of NDFB-S from Koilamoila area under Amguri PS early this morning around 4.30am in Chirang district. The cadre was identified as Jordhan Narzary alias Jaolang, a 38th batch cadre and  Myanmar trained, was active in money extortion and collection money.

A sense of shock gripped Kokrajhar early today following an IED blast on the railway track between Kokrajhar and Salakati railway stations. BPF heading for landslide victory in BTAD

BJP and UPPL are heading towards a decimation in the BTAD polls where counting is currently underway. According to reports, the Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF is taking a huge lead in most of the seats, far ahead of the ruling UPPL, which is leading in only 5 seats. Significantly, the high-profile campaign by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with BJP stars has failed to woo voters, with the party taking the lead in only 2–3 seats.
