Financial supports urged for ailing scribe

Senior city-based journalist Nand Kishor Gupta is presently undergoing treatments for serious ailments at Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai. Associated with Hindi daily Purvanchal Prahari, Gupta (46), who is also a member of Guwahati Press Club, was diagnosed with the gallbladder cancer.

As the treatment entails substantial costs and his family finds it very difficult to meet the growing medical expenditure, the press club urges the new government at Dispur for extending financial supports to the middle class family at this time of crisis. The well wishers of Gupta may also contribute for his treatment and deposit the amount in his bank account (Nand Kishor Gupta, Union Bank of India, Chandmari branch, a/c no 380602011047). The contributors may get in touch with his brother Ashok Kumar Gupta (m- 09864078598), journalist Sanjoy Ray (m- 8011745999) for further details.
