Writers’ festival

The Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) has decided to organize Bodo Writers Festival in association with Sahitya Akademy and Bodo Writers Academy on June 18 and 19 next at Salbari in Baksa district.

A reception committee today was formed with Gobinda Narzary as chairman and Laimwn Goyary as convenor at a meeting of the sabha held with Sitaram Basumatary, president Salbari district unit BSS in the chair. Over 300 writer and 20 resource persons are participating the festival from different parts of the country, informed Kamala Kanta Mushahary, general secretary of the sabha.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar.
