BJP clings to majority

BJP is preparing to form a coalition government in a day or two with the help of AGP and BPF.

The party tally has gone up to 60 till the final round of the counting where many Congress veterans and ministers have been defeated. These inclide Pradyut Bordoloi, Sarat Borkotoky, Bishmita Gogoi.

AGP has improved its tally to 16 while BPF got 10 seats. Congress had to remain satisfied with 24 seats. The formal announcement is awaited.

A visibly upset Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi honours the verdict saying that its was the wish of the people.
