Security forces belonging to police and army, in a joint operation arrested a cadre of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction from Mainaguri area on Tuesday under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district. The cadre was identified as Bipul Mushahary alias Bigrai Mushahary, 31, of Mohendrapur, was trained in 2011. He was involved with extortion, money collection, kidnapping, arms peddling and providing logistic supports to banned terrorist organizations. A country made pistol and two bullet was recovered from him.
The ex-National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) Welfare Association has called for general amnesty for all leaders, members, and cadres still imprisoned despite the BTR Peace Accord signed on January 27, 2020.
A six-member delegation from the association met AK Mishra, Adviser to the North East Division, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), in New Delhi, submitting a memorandum addressed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
