The police team probing the GS Road clash on Monday is believed to have been preparing to arrest Himanta Biswa Sarma charging him with engineering the clash where many Congress and BJP activists sustained injured.

According to sources, policemen are expected to arrest the BJP leader as soon as he arrives from Dhaka. His involvement in the clash is evident from a video footage available with a section of media house where immediately after landing at Nalbari over telephone he instructed someone to march towards the Rajiv Bhawan where the clash took place.

Police arrested ten BJP leaders. But they were released on bail hours after it. Significantly, Sarma left for Dhaka hours after the clash on the GS Road.
