Thousands of BPF activists and supporters thronged the party office along the JD Road in Kokrajhar gheraoed, demanded nomination ticket to sitting MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma for Kokrajhar west(No.29) from party to contest Assembly election scheduled early next year.
Supporters with placards shouted slogans demanding nomination for Pradip from party to contest election from Kokrajhar west seat. The supporters demanded candidature of Pradip Kumar Brahma from the ruling party to contest the election without any hesitation.
Sahajuddin Sheik, a supporter of Brahma said that sitting MLA Brahma is the genuine candidate to contest the election from party as party men are supported him wholly.
'If Brahma has declined from getting party ticket from party as public and supporters are favouring him will face coming', he added.
Baharan Bibi and Raihena, female supporters demanded ticket to Pradip to meet healthy winning of party. They warned that BPF party activists and supporters will be disinterested if their favorable sitting MLA denied ticket to contest election . They demanded party nomination to Pradip at any cost and meet a healthy political gain the region.
Mentioned be made that Hagrama Mohilary, BPF president, who is also BTC chief declared 14 names of candidates leaving two seats Kokrajhar west and Bawanipur LACs recently to contest ensuing assembly elections early next year.
The names of candidates for remaining seats would be announced within short span of day this month,a party leader in Kokrajhar.
