A pro talk ULFA delegation is rubbing shoulders with top home ministry officials in New Delhi on Tuesday to break the decade old peace logjam in Assam.
Led by ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, the six member delegation is initiating the talks with Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrish.
The ULFA delegation is strongly believed to have asked the government to ensure the participation of the recently deported ULFA founder general secretary Anup Chetia whom a special court on Monday remanded to judicial remand.
The ULFA delegation is also trying to get an appointment with Union home minister Rajnath Singh in a day or two.
