Congress gearing up for polls

Assam Congress is gearing up for the assembly polls to retain power for the fourth consecutive term.

Party senior leaders told Assam Times that AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi is set to formally sound the poll bugle next week when he would be on a two days visit to the north eastern state."His visit to boost the morale of the party after 11 sitting Congress MLAs joined BJP," said a party leader in Guwahati.

During his visit, apart from holding huge rally, Gandhi will talk to the grass root level party workers
