Gogoi slams Centre on pulse price rise

Issues after issues are surfacing for Asam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to take on the NDA government at the Centre. This time Gogoi takes potshot on the BJP-led government for failing to curb the rising prices of pulse. In a statement on Wednesday, Gogoi said slammed the Modi government for failure to import the essential commodities to deal with the soaring prices of essential commodities. 

Gogoi questioned the government’s efficiency to rein in the hoarders and blackmarketers. He said, "today, the hoarders and blackmarketers are having a field day and the common man has been hit hard as pulses constitute their staple meal." The chief minister observed, "the central government's insensitivity towards the common man has been exposed by its total failure to keep the prices of pulses under check."
