What makes Rakesh Paul crorepoti

Within a short spell of time Rakesh Paul has amassed properties worth crores of rupees. This was what the vigilance department report informed the Gauhati High Court. The report listed the properties Paul procured after he took over the APSC chairman a few years back. 

Paul, who currently resides at his own house the in Bhangagarh area in Guwahati has owned flat in the Mandakini Apartment in Kalapahar area. In the same city of Guwahati, he owns a commercial complex at Dakhingaon near Krishna Mandir. The APSC chairman has procured two flats in New Delhi’s South Extension are and in Gurgaon.

He further procured a flat in Srimantapur area in Bhangagarh. But he did it in the name of his wife Sunanda Paul who is the owner of two cars. Paul also owns property in the name of his brother Rajib. Rajib procured a flat at Janakpur area in Kahilipara apart from a furnished office in Bhangagarh.

Least not but the last, his driver Sanjay Saha also is the owner of a well-furnished two-storeyed building. Situated on a plot of 3 kathas in Lalganesh he constructed the building four years ago. This is apart from another one bigha plot of land at Sonapur.

Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Mukul Saikia who has been preparing the property list submitted before the high court acting on bribery complaint against the APSC chairman. But initially Saikia was transferred before completing his task. But the high court restored him and asked him to proceed who has submitted the list.
