Choppers back in Arunachal Pradesh

Choppers are back to the sky of Arunachal Pradesh three months after a Pawan Hans chopper carrying Tirap Deputy Commissioner Kamalesh Joshi crash landed at Khunsa.

This time Sky One Airways Pvt Ltd starts operating the chopper service in from Naharlagun to Tawang via Guwahati. The service will operate on every Thursday & Friday from Naharlagun to Tawang. The present arrangement is purely temporary till resumption of service of 2nd MI-172 helicopter.

Two persons sustained serious injury when a Tata Sumo carrying them slipped into a river in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.The incident took place at Paktu Tinali when the vehicle was on its way to Itanagar. As the vehicle was crossing the Sipu bridge it slipped into the river with all the passengers. All the passengers were shifted to the hospital while two of them are battling for life. 
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Ramesh Negi reviewed the state’s over all development scenario when he interacted with the Deputy Commissioners through video conferencing on Thursday.Negi outlined the time bound settlement of land acquisition and progress of Trans-Arunachal highways for early completion of the ongoing project.
