Second Assam agitation in offing!

A second Assam agitation is on the threshold if the All Assam Students Union leaders are to be believed. AASU leaders on Saturday disclosed their preparedness to launch a massive movement to stop Centre from making Assam a dumping ground of immigrants. 

Participating in Gana Satyagrah programme in Barpeta AASU advisor Dr Sammujjal Bhattacharjya said that the second Assam agitation is imminent and that that is the best possible way to deal with the Centre who is trying to make Assam a safe haven for the Bangladeshi immigrants. “But we are not anti-Muslim and not anti Bengalis. We oppose Bangladeshi immigrants,” said the AASU leader.
