2 days police remand for Gopinath

A local court in Guwahati remanded Gopinath Das to two days police custody a day after the AIUDF MLA from Boko was caught in connection with a rape case. 

Amid tight security police produced the suspended AIUDF leader asking for 5 days remand. But the court have him to police custody for two days. He allegedly raped his 14 year old domestic help inside his car and he has been remaining incommunicado for the last one month after police booked him in the case.    

Police arrested him in the outskirt of Guwahati when he was on the way to surrender before the court on Sunday.
